Collaborations

Currently Agrobios has active collaborations with numerous public and private research institutions both in Italy and internationally.
Of these collaborations some involve various Research Institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. (Il Ministero delle Politiche Agricole e Forestali, MiPAFF), in particular the Experimental Institute for Cereal Culture of Foggia, The Plant Nutritional Institute of Rome, the Fruit Cultural Institute of Rome, and the Institute of Plant Cultures of Pontecagnano.
One such collaboration is with the National Institute of Research for Food and Nutrition of Rome (Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca sull’Alimentazione e Nutrizione, INRAN) for the evaluation of the risks associated with the release of genetically modified plants (GMP) in the environment and market. Agrobios participates as the only Italian representative, together with the National Sanitary Institute the controlling body of the network, in the European network ENTRANSFOOD. This network unites experts and consumer associations within Europe with the object of defining guidelines and developing the technologies for risk evaluations of genetically modified organisms (GMO). Agrobios also participates in two other project to evaluate the effects of the Bt toxin on non targeted insects and on the application of regulatory genes for the induction of stress resistance in plants.
