The Agricultural Test Centre of Metapontum Agrobios is located in the Metaponto plain, an area for fresh fruit and vegetable production. In addition, the cultivation of olives, grapes and cereals is widespread in the area surrounding Metapontino.

The Agricultural Test Centre of Metapontum Agrobios is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MiPAF) for official tests concerning the efficacy and residual plant protection products (DM n°39396 and 39297 of 15.04.05 published in the G.U. n. 111 of 14.05.05).

Thanks to its proven long-term experience, Metapontum Agrobios, can offer qualified technical and scientific assistance and support in the preparation and execution of experimental trials.

Metapontum Agrobios conducts experimental trials on agricultural crops of interest to Southern Italy. These trials are developed and carried out with high standards according to the official EPPO guidelines using appropriate equipment. Procedures are in place that guarantee confidentiality and rapid transmission of the resulting data.

The types of tests available for experimental trials include: herbicide trial, fungicide trial, measurement phytotoxicity and residual quantity phytopharmaceutical found in soil, water and organic matrix.
