Risk Assessment of Genetically Modified Plants (GMP).

Field trials of GMPs are carried out according to standardized methodology for the safety assessment of deliberate GMO release (EC 90/220).

Studies comparing the chemical and molecular composition, as well as phenotype, of GMP crops with their unmodified counterpart.

Biologically contained rooms in a greenhouse setting with low air pressure, air conditioning (both heating and cooling) are available for use to compare GMPs with their isogenic counterpart.
