The area of Analytical Services conducts activities aimed at improving and certification of quality of agricultural products, at the definition of methodologies for sustainable agricultural production, at environmental monitoring and at evaluation of new varieties of plants obtained in biotechnological research.
It leads also agricultural activities directed to the study of plant nutrition, to reduction of energy inputs and agrochemicals in industrial crops and fruit and vegetables.
This area deals with agro-meteorology managing the network of weather Basilicata region.
Finally, develop software for creating systems to support decisions in agriculture in the field of fertilization, weed control and defence.
The Center operates in the field of residues of pesticides and the quality of fruits and vegetables.
Studies were conducted on the quality of olive oil and on post-harvest techniques to preserve the quality of fruit and vegetables: figs, kiwi and strawberries
Finally conducts studies in environmental monitoring on the quality of marine waters, of inland waters , on the environmental impact of extracting oil in Val d’Agri and on industrial sites .
